Comments from runners.
Alas, we will miss the witch. This race keeps getting more challenging and more fun. This is an experience every runner should attempt. This will push a racer mentally, emotionally, and physically. To quote Animal House, "Thank you, Sir! May I have another?"

This was the most difficult half I have ever done however it was the most fun I have ever had in a half! I loved the challenges, the taunting from the hills and the Larry and the relaxed nature of the day. Can't wait to do it next year!
- J.S. from Downers grove, Illinois
I have run this marathon 4 years in a row and it's my favorite race each year. Very challenging, lots of fun with a fantastic race director! Come prepared to get dirty and work VERY hard. This is not your ordinary trail marathon. The race fee is very reasonable and the swag is fantastic!

Knowing only what I had read on the website I came prepared for a difficult race with some extremely steep Hills. What I got was a 13.1 mile obstacle course with some beautiful trails in between. Though complete spent at the finish line, I had a great time! Thank you for everything Old Fart's Running Club!!!

This is a trail marathon so the only crowds and music are at the aid stations. The course is beyond awesome as far as trails go...never a dull moment...the hills are so bad that it gets comical especially the signs on the hills as you read the comments on the way up! Forget about qualifying for Boston...run this one for a great workout...for an adventure.

Coach Dan and the rest of the Old Farts,
A million thanks would not be enough for your work at Old Farts marathon! First, I so appreciate your vision in organizing an event so beautiful, challenging and fun. I would not go into the woods to attempt that of my own volition.
The course was the best yet! No bugs except the ones I met on their level when I was crawling on hands and knees on some of the hills. That was slow but a heart attack would have set me back even more.
Your supporters are beyond compare! Especially the concierge service at the 7/20 mile aid station. Those wonderful gentlemen meet me, take my water bottles and refill them while I simply enjoy the repast they have set out. Amy Elvey, as a solo act, is comparable to all of the gorgeous gentlemen. She is a joy to see in so many places on the course. Thanks to Bill for being her main inspiration. Plenty of aid right where I needed it.
The finish line greeting, food, shade, water spigot, everything is great!
The swag is beyond incredible. I was just about to order an Old Farts jacket I wanted one so much. To receive one along with a warm up jacket at the finish made the return on the entry fee about 300%. Would you like to be my new financial adviser?
I really hate to say I went over 7 hours in an event - even yours - so, could you post my time as 6:94:30?
The really old lady runner,
That is Awesome Suzanne...that would be fun to put everyones times like that...Great Job- Coach Dan
