Ding Dong the Witch is Dead!!! The Wicked Witch is finally DEAD! Kudos to everyone who came out and Conquered Witch Hill as you traveled though the Land of Oz! Now we can lay her to rest...but don't be sad because her replacement hill might not be what you were expecting...so next year Don't Go Crying to Your Mommy or shall we say (hint) "Mummy"...Don't Go Crying to Your Mummy when the Hills get Bad...see you in 2015...the Year of the Mummy!...You will leave Crying "I Want My Mummy!" we mean Mommy.

This year saw an incredible feat by none other than "Big Ben" from Greenville, Michigan as he won his 5th overall Marathon Title in a Row...we are nick naming him Big Ben because he ran like a precision run clock as he cleaned everyone's clock in 3:41:29. We will name a hill after him and call it the Big Ben when we find one worthy enough of Cleaning Everyone's Clock. This year's race saw a strong start by Grand Rapid's Brian Steinberg who took it out strong and ended up 9th overall and good second half performances by Nick Fisher and Ryan Geers. Amy Compston from Ashland Kentucky had a great run in 4:22:31 winning by close to a half hour over runner up Stephanie Schricer of Battle Creek Michigan.

If we messed up your name just send a correction email to coachdroski@aim.com and we will get you corrected...the mud is great for your complexion but not so great for your name tags!

Lastly we want to thank those special old guys out at the aid station: Ed (the small hill you like the most), Larry (he puked mud on you), Pat (hats off to Pat the last big hill past mile 11), Fred (he was not here this year because he is at the Grand Canyon but sends his best regards!) and Chuck (he's just never wrong). Also A Big Thanks to Amy Elvey AKA the POPCYCLE Lady with her roving aid station and Chris Robinson the Witch Hill Volunteer who saw your pain.
